Step 1 - Open the "File" menu then go to "New" >> "Account".

Step 2 - The "Account Wizzard" window appers (please note
that if you are running Mozilla ThunderBird for first time, this
window will appear automatically without going through Step 1).
Select "Email account" radion button and click "Next".

Step 3 - In "Your name" enter your real name (eg. Tom Jones)
and in "Email Address" enter the email address which you will
use (eg. tom@tom-jones.com) and click "Next".

Step 4 - Select the "POP3" radio button and for incoming and
outgoing mail server enter for eg. "mail.tom-jones.com" and
click "Next".

Step 5 - In "Incoming User Name" enter your username
by following the pattern <user@domain.extention>
(eg. tom@tom-jones.com) and click "Next".

Step 6 - In "Account Name" enter your name (eg. Tom Jones)
and click "Next".

Step 7 - Unmark "Download messages now" and click "Finish".

Step 8 - You've just created your account. See that your
account now appears on the left side unde "Folders".
Go to the "Tools" menu and click "Account Setting".

Step 9 - The "Account Setting" window appears.
Under your account name (eg. Tom Jones) click "Server settings"
and make sure that:
1. The checkboxes "Use secure connection (SSL)" and
"Use secure authentication" are not ticked otherwise you
won't be able to receive/send messages.
2. The checkbox "Leave messages on server" is not ticked
otherwise the email client will leave a copy of each incoming
message on the server and this may result in exceeded disk
quota of your account.
Click "OK" and you are ready to go.
Please note that the passwords will be required the first
time when you try to receive and send messages.

Please make sure that you are viewing the screenshots in their
